I have never used partition magic in dealing with the hard drive
Now I have xp installed in one of the partiotion I would like to enlarge it by using the merge option will that affect the data in the partition to be merged

Hi moha.
It is never a good idea to merge a partition with a partition that contains the OS, that's just asking for trouble. :thumbsup: Which version of PM are you using?
There is a manual for version 8 here in pdf format to get you familiar with the do's and do not's. Select the lower one (larger).
Though the manual doesn't get in to specific application software, do yourself a favor and stop all running apps before using PM. It doesn't take much to screw it up. :flowers:

My problems with PM (in the past) revolved around doing too much at one time. I'd suggest that you run each operation separately and complete each one before starting on the next.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
