Greetings....

I followed the instructions on this site on how to use Hijack This to get rid of the Web Search Toolbar <which is driving me crazy. I do not know how I got this toolbar...as I haven't downloaded anything. But there was one particular web surfing episode where my computer just froze and I couldnt do anything...and long after..up popped this toolbar.

To make a long story short. I am not a computer expert. I am hoping someone on here can
take a look at my Hijack this log and tell me how to get rid of this annoyance once and for all.

I have attached this log and would appreciate any help I can get froma knowledgeable computer person. Thank you so much!

Sincerely

Rain

You are posting in the wrong area. Go to the forum and post your log in the
HiJackThis log and analysis area. You do have a CoolWebSearch variant which will require downloading the removal program. And then you have some bad 01 host entries. There is a bad 02 and 03 entry (Webdlg32) and an 08 entry (web rebates) is Adware related. You should get help soon if you post where HJT help is provided.
