Just found out the CD drawer will not open.. Don't recall anything I've done that could have disabled it. When I push the open drawer button I do see a flashing light in the drawer area and noises as though the drawer is trying to open, but that's it. Can anybody help me with this problem?
I have a XP2000 Home computer.
Thank you

Have you tried the "Eject" command by right clicking on the drive in My Computer? If this doesn't work, try sticking a paper clip in the little hole in the front of the drive (not the headphone jack, the other hole!

This'll force the drive open just enough so that you can pull it the rest of the way open.

Then, try uninstalling it in Device Manager (Start...Run...devmgmt.msc), then reboot and let Windows reinstall it.
