Why Is My Processor Underclocked?

I have a Pent 4 2.8 processor in my computer, bu it is only running at about 1.862 and for the life of me I dont know why. Help???

Try resetting your BIOS to default values. Unplug the system from the wall, then remove the battery and leave it out for 30 minutes. Then put it back in, plug it back in the wall and it should auto-detect it.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Do Pentiums have a sort of "Cool 'n quiet" feature as Athlons do, if so there'd be no problem to trying to fix it. Since it'll crank up once you need it.
