When I logged on to my computer, it didnt log on right away after clicking my profile. I have to do Ctrl+alt+delete to bring up my background. There are no icons,no start menu or that toolbar on bottom of screen. I run programs from my task manager. I have no idea what this is. It has deleted the control panel run commands. I cant use system restore to get rid of it. Also my Mcafee virus scan wont pick up anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

We need more specifics of the sequence of events and about your system.

1) What operating system do you use? Windows XP, Linux or what?

2) What exactly was the sequence of events when the problem manifested? Were you booting up just prior to logging in? Was the computer on a log-in screen or what? At what point did you click on your profile?

3) How many users are on this computer? Is it a stand-alone computer?

4) What do you mean when you say "it has deleted ... " In other words, what is the 'it' you are referring to?
