Esafetypage.com has installed itself on my Dad's computer.
He has run Ad-aware and Spybot s-d and has created a log through Hijackthis.com

Apparently the virus (or whatever it is will not allow him to connect to Tomcoyote.com to show the experts his hijackthis log. I already have an account with you guys so I'm asking a real expert to analyze his log and let me know what to delete. I'll pass on the info - at least until he can get through to the sites he needs on his own. Here is the log. (I added the first line).

Hijacking homepage is http:\\esafteypage.com

Click here to download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri). Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log in your next reply.

Please do not run any other options until you are asked to do so.

I downloaded the zipped program and forwarded the file to my dad.

He ran the program and 'killed' the virus thereby restoring his homepage of choice. Thanks. For the guidance. I note that he/we did not follow your instructions to post his log and await instructions. It seems to have worked out fine nonetheless. Thanks.

As you are self fixing, just post a final HJT log for review.
