i followed few tips from net but i cant seems to get them back...

here is one of them...

run regedt32.exe. ...registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Enum.
Highlighted the Enum entry, go to the top of the regedt32 menu bar, choose "Security",
and view the settings for key "Enum". You might notice that it is void of "allow"
checkmarks for the local members of the machine you are working on. Check "allow"
for each login account you want to allow access to the device manager, click apply
and re-run the device manager.

other one is activating the plug and play service...

is there any other options i can try?
althou...computer is running fine, i like to fix the problem
any help would be great

Why would you have disabled System Restore?

As you have now found out, it is exactly for this type of problem that MS designed System Restore.

What else have you disabled or "tweaked"?

No Items Appear in the Device Manager List When You Open It

CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the Plug and Play service is turned off (disabled).

I'd suggest that you turn System Restore back on and then adjust the amount of disk space that it's allowed to consume. I've had a couple of problems over the last few days that System Restore has fixed much more easily than a full backup would.

FWIW - System Restore doesn't backup everything on your computer. There's a hidden file that ends in .xml in the System Restore directory that specifies what it will backup. You can actually modify it to include/exclude any other areas that you're concerned about.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

- John  (my website: http://www.carrona.org/ )**If you need a more detailed explanation, please ask for it. I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.
