Hey there.

I'm running Windows 2000 on my laptop & have problems creating wireless profiles. I tried a Cisco card with Ciscos Aironet Utility, but that wouldn't let me do anything - the buttons were greyed out. I then used a Linksys Card with their utility which worked, but when I switched to my new router it keeps popping up errors. I tried a belkin USB wireless utility, but had the same problems. Does anyone know what setting to change to allow me to create profiles? I'm pretty sure it's enabled & still won't let me.

Or, is there any software I can try that'll create wireless profiles, like the default utility in XP?

Many thanks, Smaz

I am sorry I took so long to reply.
What type of router are you using? What exactly are the error messages that you keep getting?

Firstly I would make sure that you have installed for the wireless are the ones for Windows 2000. This will make a big differance to the profile setup.

Are you trying to create wireless profiles on your PC, or on the router? If on the PC, the easiest way is the built in Windows wizard. If on the router, I don't think that you can do that.
