Hi. Please excuse my semantics as I'm not sure about the correct words. Here is the problem I am trying to solve.

I recently replaced the new hard disk in my laptop and re-installed (I thought) what I previously had in the way of basic software. Since then, there is a change. Here is an example: Previously when I went to Google, after I hit enter to get to the Google webpage, the blinker moved to the Google box where you insert your search item. Now the blinker is not visible; when I click my mouse, it seems to show up wherever the arrow is located, such that I now have to use my mouse to reposition the arrow and click before I can type in the Google text box. I haven't been able to find an option in my control panel to modify this. Can anyone help? Please? I am terribly frustrated. I don't remember ever encountering this problem on any other computer...

Thank you in advance.

Did you just install XP - or did you also install the drivers for the specific hardware in the laptop (such as the touchpad drivers)? If you didn't install the drivers, you'll have reduced (if any) functionality of your devices.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
