Hello Whiz kids,

I am wondering if Outlook can be used as an appointments diary over a small office network. It would need to be able to schedule appointements for multiple staff and accesible over 3 or 4 computers.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Regards

Constantine

Hi Constantine,
Don't know if you already have it or not,but you can get a free trial of Microsoft's Office Small Business Edition 2003 Here.

Outlook lets you save multiple group calendars for quick and easy access to team or meeting room schedules, making it easy to arrange when and where to meet.

May want to read this page:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm#other

It appears that you can not share calendards with outlook 2003 without exchange 2003. On the other hand, you can still use outlooks scheduling etc to invite people into your meetings etc. The above page has some 3rd party programs that seem to be able to allow you to do what you want.

You can also read this article for other options:

Thanks Grinler,

I will follow those links.

May I also say I am amazed that you have time to read and respond to posts, given that you also run this joint.
