Are you talking about the number of simultaneous download connections allowed by Internet Explorer or the actual TCP/IP ports?

Yes usasma, that is what I mean. Their is a neat little program that opens them up you just pick the number. All I can remeber is that it was either by "lord ____ " or the program was called "lord ______." So much for a good memory.

No acklan, but thanks. It was a little program to open up tcp ports while doing simutanious downloads of P2P. As winxp sp2 limits the opening to 10, I believe.

XP doesn't limit the opening of TCP/IP (or even UDP) ports. What it does limit is the number of simultaneous TCP connections that you may have.

My research may have dredged up something at this link, is it what you're looking for?: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2005/11/15/w...-event-id-4226/

They refer to this link for the "fix": http://www.lvllord.de/download.php?url=en/...atch223d-en.zip

And say that the home page is: http://www.lvllord.de/
