I'm a new subscriber to the site and I wanted to share my experience. Recently, my browser (IE6) was hijacked by a Chinese URL (www.tongxunqicai.cn) which took over my home page. All of my usual efforts to eliminate the problem were unsuccessful. I googled 'eliminate browser hijacks' and found your web site and utilized some of your suggestions, specifically: 1) Ran 'cleanmgr' at the command prompt to eliminate all temporary files, 2) ran Ad-Aware in full scan mode, and 3) ran Spybot-Search & Destroy, and 4) cleared the home page URL in IE6 (under Internet Tools). Rebooted and voila - renegade URL was gone. Reset my home page in IE6 and everything looks OK. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the testimonial and for the feedback. Many members generously give of their time and expertise, and their knowing that someone was helped by their efforts means a great deal to them.
