I have recently bought the package Xoftspy that helps me to detect any possible harmful viruses or cookies on my PC. I also have adaware and numerous other free packages to detect harmful "ware" on my PC. I think that the PC I have has been hijacked.

Whenever I turn on the PC, I get a box come up asking if I want to run C://windows...etc...etc... I never click on it, and hope nothing runs on my computer. I find that everytime I go to websites, it always comes up with "The page cannot be displayed". After clicking "go" several times, the page eventually loads.

My worry is the fact that I do a lot of internet banking and use paypal on the computer.

I have tried a few ways of getting rid of the virus, but don't seem to have any luck. I was hoping that you may be able to point me in the right directon?

I thank you in anticipation of your help, and look forward to hearing from you.

It appears you have something on your PC. Go thru these steps and post a HJT log. A qualified expert will look at your problem. Please refer to this post whilst posting a HJT log
