[b]hi everyone :thumbsup: i am new to this so hope you can help.when i try to alter the default program settings in xp home it will not work. it keeps resetting to the old ones. i have tried to set to microsoft settings but it is still the same.any advice?

Can you be more specific about which program settings you are trying to change and what procedure you are using to try and change them?

hi am using set access and default program in xp.trying to set outlook express as default

To make Outlook Express your default mail program,in Outlook Express,go to Tools/Options/General,then click the button that says "Make Default",then click Okay.

hi TMacK thanks for the reply.i have tried the tools option, but when i go back on" out exps " it says not default..i have had problem since downloading " internet exp 7" also computer freezes if i try a contact link in "internet exp7" something to do with"mailto" am going to delete 7 see if that cures it thanks for your help. ...............john
