i downloded and am currently using mozilla firefox as my web browser.. after i downloaded it i can no longer use my internet explorer is this normal what can i do if i ever want to use it?

You may have made Ff your default browser, not a bad decision if I may say so. This does not prevent your using IE by opening it, or clicking on an IE shortcut icon.
I myself prefer to use the Firefox extension (add-on) IE VIEW1.3.1, which will launch IE through Firefox menus those fewer times I actually need to use it.
