Something of a problem with my system.
I'm running 98SE, IE6, McAfee VirusScan, AVG Free, Win Patrol amongst others.
Until yesterday, all was fine. I was happy.
Then I tried to download my emails from www.orange.co.uk.
Immediately I received the following message;
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.orangehome.co.uk', Server: 'pop.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Contacted my ISP and checked connections, size of waiting emails, refreshed internet account, etc. All to no avail.
They recommended I uninstall IE6, then reinstall it.
I've tried this by going to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Uninstall Internet Explorer 6
However, when I switch on again IE6 is still on my machine.
Can anyone help me get the thing off my PC??
Many thanks, in advance.
PS Forgot to say that I'm on net & downloading emails almost daily.
