My computer was infected with malware. I used HITMAN to get rid of most of it. but three problems remain: At the start-up of windows a black window opens called C:\WINDOWS\system32\netsh.exe.
After that NORTON ANTIVIRUS tells me my computers infected in C:\WINDOWS\vmmlog32.dll. The virus is called HACKTOOL.ROOTKIT and NORTON can't solve the problem. The same goes for C:\WINDOWS32|system32\ldcore.dll wich is called a TROJAN. ADCLICKER. Ive looked around your website but Im not sure I should use the same solutions youve given other people to these problems. I thank you in advance, I think its great you guys do this.

Download Hijackthis:

1. Please go here and download Hijackthis.
2. Unzip Hijackthis into its own folder (e.g. C:\HJT\Hijackthis.exe)
3. Open Hijackthis and select:Do a system scan and save a logfile
4. Let Hijackthis run its course
5. Then once notepad pops up with your logfile, copy/paste it back into this thread.

Hey dr dre

Put Hijackthis in a Permanent Location:

Please put Hijackthis in a permanent location i.e. C:\Hijackthis. See here for instructions:
  • First put hijackthis into a permanent folder.
  • Do this first - go to C: and create a new permanent folder.
  • Example C:\hijackthis
  • This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.
  • Then put (or download - choose "save" not "run") the hijackthis.exe file in this folder.
  • If you downloaded a zipped HJT file unzip it to the permanent folder so you have C:\hijackthis\hijackthis.exe.
This is an excellent guide if you have any problems:Step-by-step tutorial

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time. DO NOT UPGRADE TO SP2 AT THIS TIME
  • Click HERE for the update.
  • Apply the update.
  • REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM
  • Post a fresh Hijack This log
