is there a pop up blocker for ie (not the new one, the old one) that i could use for this situation. today when i got on i got 41 pop ups in 2 minutes. i used ad-aware, ewido and spybot in safe mode and deleted the 8 things they found, but i am still having the problem.
i have firefox on my computer because it doesnt allow pop ups, but it runs a lot slower than my ie.
my questions are-
1-why am i having so many pop ups and
2-why is firefox going so slow.
thank you for your time

I'd suggest to use Google/Yahoo tool bar for IE &
enable its popup blocker .

Your Firefox might be slow due to extensions .
check it in safe mode . i.e. assuming that you
are using windows , there should be a shortcut
for Mozilla Firefox (safe mode) in programs menu .
use it & check its speed .
