My motherboard has 4 sata connectors. 1st drive with O/S is in SATA 0, I plugged my new second drive into the SATA2 socket. Does the performance vary depending on which socket is used? I believe when I ran the Seagate DiscWizard, it said the new drive was a slave. Good? Bad? Does not matter?

Thank you,

Dave

It is as it should be.
