hi

im currently having a problem with a process called smss32.exe running in my computer. Ive googled it n it says its a bad program n i should remove it. However, after running an anti-virus scan(ZoneAlarm), Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, ive been receiving numerous pop-ups from zone alarm notifying me that smss32.exe is still active n currently trying to connect to the internet etc. etc...And yes my anti-virus n stuff are all up to date...I've no idea wat to do next...how do i remove it and how exactly does smss32.exe do to my computer?..thanks :flowers:

If you don't get a better answer, you could try running Housecall(in safe mode if possible), telling it to fix/remove what it finds, then disabling system restore, rebooting and re-enabling system restore.
