I am a new user from Pa, I have been tinkering with computers for several years and everything I know is self taught - ususally by trial and error! I am working on a nonfunctioning computer now, and I need some help - I will post on the hardware board! Thanks in advance to all that are able to help me sort things out!

Welcome to BC!
Most of us learned much of what we know by trial and error. Thanks to the experienced members here, though, you can save yourself a lot of time and trouble by asking them for help or advice.
