Ok about 2 weeks ago I restarted my computer and every since it has frozen up on me right after I sign in. Well actually it doesn't freeze up until I try to right click anywhere on the screen. When I try to left click an icon the hour glass just comes up for a second or two and then just goes away. Also an internet explorer window used to come up on startup but it no longer does so. Maybe its a virus or maybe it could be a memory problem? I've ran spyware doctor, AVG, spyware blaster, and ad-aware se but It comes up with nothing. I hope someone can help me out.

Hello,

It is really important you follow my next steps in the right order without missing any step!

Actually it doesn't suprise me at all that your computer crashes. This can be caused because of malware, but in your case, the main problem is not only malware but the fact that you have 4 Antivirusscanners installed with Auto-protect enabled. Bitdefender, Norton and AVG and Antivir. It's like you are building your own Security Center - this really doesn't make sense.
Rather than giving you extra protection, this can actually give problems because of incompatibility issues, can even cause BSODs and decrease the reliability of it seriously!
Also, it causes a serious system slowdown.

I would strongly advise you to only have one Anti-Virus with the Auto-Protect feature running at any one time!
So you should uninstall the other(s) through the Add or Remove Programs option in Control Panel.

So please, uninstall all the extra antivirus first before proceeding with next steps, because otherwise this really won't make sense and you'll have BSOD's all the time.

After uninstall, reboot your computer back to NORMAL mode, because I see you were running in safe mode previously and the next fixes I want you to perform should be done in normal mode.
Reason why you most probably having problems with normal mode is because of the several Antivirus installed.

Then AFTER uninstalling all your antivirus, Go to start > controlpanel > software > add/remove programs and uninstall MyWaySA (MyWay searchassistant)

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Please download
FixWareout

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads, it will open a log. That log will be present in the C:\Fixwareout\FindT folder with the name report.txt
I need that log later.

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot, it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog and the report.txt from fixwareout.

Looks like after uninstalling the extra Antivirus scanners, you're able to boot into normal mode again

Please perform next steps in the right order..

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

O8 - Extra context menu item: &MyToolBar Search - res://C:\Program Files\ToolBar888\MyToolBar.dll/MENUSEARCH.HTM

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Some more programs you should uninstall here, because I see you are still using some programs which are way outdated.;

Uninstall next programs:

TClock
ewido anti-malware

extra notes..
I see Antispywarescanners installed like Xoftspy and Spyware doctor. Both are shareware, this means you have to buy them. In case you didn't buy them after the trial expired, I recommend you uninstall them, because they won't protect you anyway, since they are not able to update anymore.

I also see you have a program installed called "System Spyware Interrogator" from Trisnap. If you really think this program is useful, keep it.. but I still have my doubts about this program though, so actually I suggest you uninstall it.

Concerning your Norton, did you purchase it? And are you still able to update it? Please let me know.
I also see you disabled a norton related startupentry via msconfig. That one needs to startup with windows though..
So go to start > run and type: msconfig
select the tab: startup and check: ccApp in there to let it startup again with windows.
Then reboot.

Delete next files and folders if still present:

C:\WINDOWS\warnhp.html
C:\WINDOWS\pvfUninstall.exe
C:\Program Files\Online Services\howy.html
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\kyzesepu.html
C:\Program Files\TClock <== folder
C:\Program Files\XoftSpy <== in case you didn't purchase it and you uninstalled it.
C:\Program Files\ewido anti-malware <== folder
C:\WINDOWS\system32\comcap16.dll
C:\WINDOWS\qgylt.dll

Open notepad and copy and paste next present in the quotebox below in it:
(don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\sharedtaskscheduler]
"{2be26361-58a2-4836-be57-b838f02fec3f}"=-

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{2be26361-58a2-4836-be57-b838f02fec3f}]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer]
"NoActiveDesktop"=-
"ClassicShell"=-
"ForceActiveDesktopOn"=-

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\AVG7_CC]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\avgnt]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\outlook]

Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
It should look like this: Posted Image
Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.
(In case you are unsure how to create a reg file, take a look here with screenshots.)

* Go to start > control panel > Display properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop... > Web tab
Uncheck and delete everything you find in there. (except for "My current home page")
Hit ok below > apply in previous window.

* Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE:
  • Close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer
  • Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab
  • Click the "Delete Cookies" button
  • Next to it, Click the "Delete Files" button
  • When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK
* Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox (In case you also have Firefox installed):
  • Go to Tools > Options.
  • Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
  • Click the Clear button located to the right of each option (History, Cookies, Cache).
  • Click OK to close the Options window
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing by clicking Clear All.
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the information.
* Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin
  • Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
  • Let it scan your system for files to remove.
  • Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
  • Press OK to remove them.
Please download, install, and update AVG Anti-Spyware
  • Load AVG Anti-Spyware and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  • After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  • Then click on the Scanner tab at the top. Click the "Settings" tab and then change the recommended action to Quarantine and click Automatically generate report after every scan. Click back to the "Scan" tab and then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.
  • AVG Anti-Spyware will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. AVG Anti-Spyware will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
  • Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot!!
  • Post the contents of the AVG Anti-Spyware log you saved in your next reply together with a new Hijackthislog.

Hi,

If you didn't buy Norton, it is normal that it won't update. Also, your computer is not protected right now since your norton is not up to date.

That's why I strongly recommend to uninstall Norton Internet Security and install a free Antivirus and Firewall.
You had two free and great antivirus installed before though, so I don't understand why you kept norton instead, since you know that the trial already expired and didn't keep one of the free Antivirus.

So uninstall Norton Internet Security. Then reboot.

Then reinstall AVG OR Avira. Don't install them both, or you will have the same problem again as you had previously - crashes.

Also install a free Firewall. Look in my signature for that which free firewalls I recommend. Don't install more than one!!

Your logs look clean again. Let me know in your next reply how things are running now.

Glad to hear.
I hope you uninstalled Norton previously though... because otherwise you'll create the same problem you were having before - freezes and crashes.

To keep this clean in the future, I would suggest the following things:

Install Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster doesn`t scan and clean for so-called spyware, but prevents it from being installed in the first place. It blocks the popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.
How to use SpywareBlaster

* Avoid illegal sites, because that's where most malware is present.
* Don't click on links inside popups.
* Don't click on links in spam messages claiming to offer anti-spyware software; because most of these so called removers ARE spyware.
* Download free software only from sites you know and trust. Because a lot of free software can bundle other software, including spyware.

Let your antispywarescanner(s) scan frequently and don't forget to update before.

And I do suggest you perform an online virusscan once in a while. (Housecall and/or Bitdefender). Because what one virusscanner can't find another one maybe can.
Also make sure that your virusscanner, the one that is installed on your system is always up to date!

Make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
