HI

A DxDiag file keeps appearing on my desk top every so often...when I open it with notepad its empty..doesnt seem to do anything..my video card is a ATI X1600...also sometimes window media player clips appear as brightly coloured cartoons..best way I can describe it...Im running Micro Trend PC-Cillin and spy cleaner gold..???trojan if it is (the dxdiag file) they have both missed it.

There is a trojan "dxdiag.exe", but since you are having problems with your video I suspect the file appearing has something to do with that. Check the link below for more info:

I am not familiar with the antispyware program "Spy Cleaner Gold". Suggest you install and run AVG7.5.

SpyCleaner ( Gold ) is on the "Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products" list of
AntiSPYWARE Expert Eric Howes at http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm .
Should read about it there . Much better to use 2 or more of his "Trustworthy Products"
on the same site, specifically @ http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-s...htm#trustworthy .

AVG antispyware ( the former "Ewido" ) is listed there; however, I prefer the FREE ver
of "SUPERantispyware" at http://www.superantispyware.com/ .
