Does anyone have an explanation and or a resource that discusses the functionality of a restore points creaton of its A*.lnk files. In the MSDN tech notes listing the monitored files, the graphic JPG format is not one of those monitored.

Why then will you find A*.lnk files within the restore point that point to JPG, MGP, AVI files out on disk, e.g., within a user created folder c:\documents and settings\[profile]\Desktop\XxX\Pics? not all image files have the RP link A*.lnk. What is the trigger for this action?

The link files being created are not present within the user profile's "recent folder" so the RP isn't just creating a backup.

Sincerely, Wayne Marney
