Every time I switch on my computer, the sceen resolution is at it's lowest possible (with a 16bit colour), and I have to reset it. Can anybody tell me why?

Welcome to BC!

Can you tell us exactly how you change the resolution? I mean a detailed explanation, click for click.

And then when you reboot it changes back?

That info will help us figure it out!

Hi frankenstein
When I start my computer the resolution is always 480x640 so I right click desktop>left click properties>settings>alter my settings>left click apply> OK. That puts me right until I close or restart, then i have to go through the whole routine again --
thanks for the interest

Big Geezer
