Hey, my computer has been trying to install FrontPage whenever I start a web browser, and always has an error notification that I have to click about 6 times when I closeout of a web browser. It doesn't matter what browser I use either.
When I ran Hijack This, then the error message below pops up. I tried reinstalling HiJack This, but it didn't help.
I have XP, Sony Vaio.

Thanx,
Nitewish

Yup, still having troubles. I found out that it is NSIS Media, but I have no idea how to get rid of it and haven't been able to find much help online about removing it. I fixed the FrontPage wanting to install, but the errors still pop up when closing SlimBrowser. It says that certain things being closed out are being used by another process.
I have tried running SpyBot, AdAware, TrojunHunter, UniBlue Registry Booster, ZoneAlarm, Anti-Vir, Spyware Blaster, PConPoint, & Trend Micro Anti-Spyware....All to no avail.
So, here is my new log of Hijackthis.

Click on start, settings, control panel and double-click on add/remove programs. From with add/remove program uninstall the following if they exist:

NSIS Media Extension

Reboot and delete the folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\NSIS\

Are you still having the problem now?

Ok I do not think this is a malware issue. Lets focus on the frontpage problem first. Open IE and click on Tools and then Internet Options. Then click on the program tab and for the HTML Editor change it to notepad. The press the apply and ok buttons and restart IE. Do you still have the frontpage error?

The Frontpage error is gone. I just have the SlimBrowser & Utorrent problem left. With SlimBrowser, when I close it it comes up with this - "Process cannot access the file becasue it is being used by another process...OK...Can't save setting"
And it goes through that between 1 & 20 times.
With UTorrent the error says there is a problem with resume.dat file.

One at a time. Found this on the utorrent site:

How do I fix Error: Unable to save the resume file?

Simply create two blank files named "settings.dat" and "resume.dat" (without the quotes) in the same folder utorrent.exe is saved in. Make sure Windows is not hiding the file extension when creating the file (in Explorer, Tools -> Folder Options -> View, uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", hit OK)

I tried that, it didn't work, but I think I know the problem with that now. I have a FAT32 hardrive that I just got and started putting all my downloaded files on, and the FAQ on Utorrents said that could be the problem. It said that it needs to be a NTFS drive. I read that you can convert it into an NTFS. How do I convert it? Is it safe to convert it? Will I lose any information or space?

Thanks for all your help on this!

No you will not lose any information. If you dualboot, though, to an operating system that does not support NTFS filesystems you will not be able to access it.

To convert a file system you would type something like :

convert D: /FS:NTFS

at your command prompt. This would convert your D: drive to NTFS.
