Hi,

Have a Windows XP Home machine with SP2. In the Windows explorer, I don't see the icons for the 2 CD drives. If I pop in a CD, the CD folder is opened, but the CD drive is still NOT on the drive list in the Win explorer.

If I plug in a USB flash drive, the drive's folder is opened by Windows, but the flash drive never shows up in the Explorer's drive list. Any ideas on what can be done to fix this?

Thanks!

Try checking in Disk Management to see if there's any conflict in the drive letter assignments. Go to Start...Run...and type in "diskmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
