Hello Shinryuu and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I see no signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

There are a few housekeeping items that we should clean up so let's do that while you re here.

Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: IEHlprObjClass - {CE7C3CF0-4B15-11D1-ABED-709549C10000} - C:\Program Files\Kensington\MouseWorks\IE_KMW.DLL (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

Now close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair.

Your Java is also extremely out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
Note: the "XX" in the version will be whatever the latest version is.
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update XX.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_XX-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.
Other than that, the log looks Ok. For non-malware related XP performance issues it is best to post in the XP forum here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/56/windows-xp-home-and-professional/

They can assist with analyzing the system for resource issues and recommend changes or upgrades to boost system performance. Let them know that you have been to this forum and no malware was found.

Cheers.

I do not respond to PM's requesting help. That's what the forums are here for. Please use them so that others may benefit from your questions and the responses you receive.
