When I click on any media file, my computer tries to open it in a new web browser window instead of Media Player. I then get a "not found" type of message. I've checked all my internet settings and player settings and can't find any reason for the links not to come up in the media player.

Any ideas?

hmmm... sounds like you have something that has taken the place
of media player... you could (if you have broadband) just try to
download windows media player and install the new one over
the old...

windows media player 9 download
note... this is the page for media player 9...

windows media player 10 download
and this one is for 10 (only for windows xp)

hope this helps!!
