Has been experiencing series of crashes in the pass week after exiting IE6/windowupdate-precipitating forced spontaneous shutdown and self reboot. After logging back online: I was informed critical error had transpired. What was going on?? What is causing the crashes?? Checked event viewer: indicating system error. How do I go about troubleshooting whats precipitating the crashes?? Thank you very much. YOYO. :flowers:

Check your Event Viewer for the exact text of the errors and post it here. Here's a HowTo for the Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/40108/how-to-use-event-viewer/

Also, search your hard drive for files ending in .dmp and .mdmp. If you find them, use this link to analyze them: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246

Then post the results of the analysis here for us to have a look at.
