Today OCT 29, 2006 an apparent virus, perhaps a Trojan virus, arrived in a greeting card e-mail that bypassed all my virus and spy ware programs. When I tried to remove it in my Control Panel it wouldn't let me because I had to shut down the program before it could be removed. When I went to the Task Manager to end the program it read, Not Responding. I ended the program and my computer locked up. I tried disconnecting the dedicated dial-up phone line and shutting down the computer, but nothing helps.

What does one do in this case?

Thanks in advance,
Al Barrs :lam:

Hello Al Barrs and Welcome
What is the name of the file you're attempting to delete? Also deleteing it there will probably just bring it back on reboot
WhaOs are you running
What AV program and Antispyware programs did you run
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
