I have already posted with this problem, but the Hijack log didnt pick up on SyncroAd / BullsEye Network/ or P2P Netowork.
I hve just booted the pc and noticed straight away on the recent hijack log that they are there. It must be because they are starting up.
I hve ticked all 3 and rebooted, but when i run hijack again, they appear again.
Can someone help please - I do not know what to do next

The new hijack log is as follows:

Hi and welcome to Bleeping Computer! My name is Sam and I will be helping you.

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware and save that file to your desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
  • Once the setup is complete you will need run ewido and update the definition files.
  • On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
    • Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

    • Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
    • Un-Select "Only if threats were found"
Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Do not run a scan just yet. We will shortly.

Please disable SpySweeper, as it may hinder the removal of some HijackThis entries. You can re-enable it after you're clean.

To disable SpySweeper:

Open it, click > Options over to the left then > Program Options > Uncheck "load at windows startup".
Over to the left click "shields" and uncheck all there.
Uncheck "home page shield".
Uncheck "automatically restore default without notification".

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of the lines listed below. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BullsEye Network] C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows SyncroAd] C:\Program Files\Windows SyncroAd\SyncroAd.exe

Delete these folders, if present.

C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network
C:\Program Files\Windows SyncroAd

Reboot your computer.

============

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report along with a new hijackthis log.

Hi Sam

Thank you for another quick response. I understand your comments about not making any alterations to my computer. It makes sense and I will adhere strictly to what you advise me to do.

I am just grateful that you are there to help. I am at work at present but I will do the Panda scan as soon as i get home and will post all relevant logs.

There certainly seems to be something in these pests that make them start up every time the computer is booted up - despite spyware sweeper or anything else picking them up.
I have unchecked the items in msconfig start up - but like I say, as soon as the computer is rebooted, they are there again.

Once again, thank you for your patience with me, and I will post my recent findings tonight.

regards
Paul

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE and Save As (in IE it's "Save Target As", in FF it's "Save Link As") to download Silent Runners.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will receive a prompt:
    • Do you want to skip supplementary searches?
      click NO
  • If you receive an error just click OK and double-click it to run it again - sometimes it won't run as it's supposed to the first time but will in subsequent runs.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

That's not the log. It's the actual script of the program. Do you have a text file located where you have Silent Runners located? It should say "Startup Programs...." and then some other stuff.

Sam

all I did was r/c your link and save target as desktop. I now have a silent runners icon on the desctop which i clicked on and it came up with notepad with all the writing on it.
I still have the icon on the desctop but I dont see any other files at all.

Ok, it's not running correctly for some reason then. Let's try another tool that will give us a similar log.

Download WindPFind

Extract WinPFind.zip to your c:\ folder.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
* if you have trouble getting into Safe mode go here for more info.

Then open c:\WinPFind and double-click on WinPFind.exe.
When the program is open, click on the Start Scan button to start scanning your computer. Be patient as this scan may take a while.
When it is done, it will show a log and tell you the scan is completed. Reboot your computer back to normal mode and and post the contents of c:\WinPFind\WinPFind.txt as a reply to this topic.

Hi Sam,

Please see below the log file for winpfind.

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows sometimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Make sure that Spysweeper is disabled before proceeding with this next step.

Open Notepad, and copy everything in the code box below and paste it into a new notepad file. Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixme.reg on your Desktop. Make sure there is NO blank line above "REGEDIT4"!

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"BullsEye Network"=-
"P2P Networking"=-
"Windows SyncroAd "=-
Locate fixme.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it. When it asks if you want to merge with the registry, click YES.

Reboot your computer and post a new hijackthis log.

Failing to respond back to the person that is giving up their own time to help you not only is insensitive and disrespectful, but it guarantees that you will never receive help from me again. Please thank your helpers and there will always be help here when you need it!
