Bleeping Computer is in no way affiliated in any means with mediablast

See here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/69838/getting-monthly-bill-dont-know-who-or-why/

- Grinler

Back in June, after late night exploring and a “trial subscription” – quickly cancelled - I got Zbot(?) and the Spyware Guard, Brave Sentry, Malware Wipe, etc. I tried SmitGuard, Ewido, etc., but I ended up in a loop of XP starting, then rebooting, over & over. I THINK I got rid of it by formatting all.
Since then, I have been getting billed for “WWW MEDIABLAST TV” - $34 CAN/month! I cannot dial the 1-800 number from Canada. Every web search is either impertinent, or gets a link that times out every time; I have never seen what is on the site. I finally got VISA to tell me the site is owned by BleepingComputers.com! I have enrolled (obviously!) and looked around your site, but find nothing about it. So, I’m trying to track it down, awa ensure no more infection.
I also have at least one problem that may have nothing to do with an infection. I have a Saitek Cyborg Evo joystick, forcefeeback. It was working fine, then after not playing for about a week, it won’t let me take off. When I get RPMs up heading down runway, I get a blue screen with bunch of text flashes by, then PC reboots. All the calibrating & setting stuff works fine – only the game won’t. D/L'd bunch of driver updates, too, but....
Yesterday I ran Windows Update, got the security stuff installed (been a few weeks, to be honest). Several runs of Ad-Aware, then SpyBot this AM, got the info below, in red critical. Afraid to del it. On right-click “Jump to this location” it went to “Nero Burning ROM->Info”, which showed “Default – Value not set”, “Serial6 – a license key”, and “User – my name” :

I have just rerun all my cleaning ware, still get the “Microsoft.Windows…” thing below, it says it is a “Registry Change”.
And, here’s the HijackThis log

Your log looks clean... See if this helps for the critical warning you are getting:

http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=3...amp;postcount=9

It appears many people are getting this warning with spybot. See your other topic where I explain how we are not affiliated with mediablast.
