Hi! I'm sure you all have your hands full helping people... But it seems I've been infected w/ pipas.A. Spyware S&D found it on a routine scan, although AdAware SE doesn't seem to find it. One important side-note is that my main hard drive is very low on space (Been aware of this for some time, but too busy to deal with it just yet). So there are new MS updates that I think I should dload, but I'm nervous to pull them down and choke out this HD.

Ok - your help is much appreciated!

hi

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

Sorry for the delay, thanks for sticking with me. I downloaded SVG Anti-Spyware and followed your instructions line by line. 60 items were found that Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D couldn't find. Amazing. Here are the logs:

Please let me know what to do next. I'm not sure if its a result from all this crap, but not too long ago I did some spring cleaning on my main drive (C:\) and cleaned up almost a Gig of free space. Since then my C: drive is down to terrifyingly low amount of free space, less then 100mg. Any help you can offer me would be much appreciated. I've stripped any unnecessary programs off and shouldn't have a ton of services turned on. It IS a relatively old/small hard drive, but really - something ate my space up on this primary drive and I'm nervous as heck that its going to sputter out soon.

thanks!
Tom

Also: FYI - on the free space issue on my main hard drive, I downloaded and have used CCleaner and its worked great in the past, but it seems something is really hogging my free space these days.

I uploaded 3 of the 4 files, but I couldn't find:

C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\{0F7A658B-F706-461C-B005-84145EE6461C}.exe

When I was browsing that directory. I was looking in detail list mode, so it should be alpha sorted and right next to the other file that starts with the bracket, but it wasn't showing up. What should I do next?

Thanks!!!

Ok, I opened Norton (which seems to sit on my computer always on, but doesnt seem to have been used in several years?, im wondering if i really need it now after all these other AV's ive put on my computer that are more up to date where my norton is not..)

anyways, went to view and manage quarantine and got this error message:

"Error creating quarantine object. Please re-install Norton Antivirus."

eeeek! what to do?
