Microsoft .net framework 1.1 is used by several applications on my PC with no problems. Recently one of applications developed a problem that diagnosed as a problem with . net framework 1.1 I thought I would just uninstall it and then reinstall it. When I attempt to uninstall it Window installer gives me message "The installation source for this application is not available. Verify that this source is available and that you can access it." I have found a couple of Microsoft articles about repairing .net framework, but they did not work. Help!

1) Have you tried to download and force an installation of the .Net framework? This may recreate the uninstall information for you.

2) Have you considered upgrading to the .Net 2.0 framework? This may overcome the issues with v1.1
