Lsl Created A Problem With My Computer

I have just recently tryed to play leisure suit larry on my computer, it has caused ' a general protection fault in module KRNL386.exe at 0001:A023' I have no idea what this means,
where the problem is or how I can fix it!!! any ideas I have XP

does that game say if it is compatible with windows XP? that might be the issue. some older games just wont run under windows xp.
having issues with any other games?
