I have a Dell E310 w/ XP Home Media Ctr w/ wireless connection; my connection keeps going down although the indicator in system tray states that I have a strong connection to router and other computers in the house on same router are fine. I have to restart to regain the connection. this is very annoying. it seems to happen mostly when you're not actually surfing the web, more when you are inactive that it goes down. I'd appreciate any help possible.

Click start/settings/network connections

Right click on "Lan"

You should see your network card in the "connect using" box.

Click "Configure"

Click the "Power Management" tab

Uncheck the box that says "allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"

Click "OK"
