In the task manager i have found two files:
1.avp.exe under user name
2.avp.exe under SYSTEM

I have kapersky antivirus 6.0 running, i want to know if the above files are related to Kapersky or one of them is a Trojan and if it is, how do i get rid of it?

I appreciate your help

Thanks
Alex

What location (path) is it running from?

Kaspersky's avp.exe will run as a service and a startup from this path:
C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\avp.exe

You can download and use Process Explorer by Sysinternals to investigate all processes and gather additional information to identify and resolve problems. This tool will show the process CPU useage, a description and its path.
