I have allowed some sort of advertising bug on to my PC inadvertently.
Now I have a series of unwanted Favourites but I cannot delete them with "Organize Favourites" in the usual way, they will not delete.
Any ideas on how to remove these objects will be appreciated.

These URLs are probably in the in the History folder.
The History folder can be deleted manually: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
Or,Free History Eraser from http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
