Hi. First of all thank you for being around to help in a crisis!

I realised I had a problem on my computer when I tried to run Adaware SE Personal Edition 1.06. When it opens it initially says "Your definitions are 507 days old. Would you like to check for updates now?" Although there is no way my definitions are 507 days old, I hit "OK" and it takes me to the "Performing Webupdate" page. I then hit "Connect" and get the BSOD. If I hit "Cancel" and instead try to update from the main screen by hitting "Check for Updates", I get taken to the "Performing Webupdate" page, hit "Connect" and again: BSOD. I have endless searched forums for the answer and no luck. I have tried manually updating the definitions file and although the update appeared successful and a scan produced no bad results, still on trying to subsequently run Adaware I get the same BSOD when trying to update the definitions.... I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Adaware and still the same problem!

So now i'm here with you.... I have run through all of your steps of what to do before posting a hijack log and now leave myself in your hands tongue.gif !
