Hi guys hoping you can help a real novice here. Avast keeps telling me I have this worm and then it deletes it but it seems to come back everytime I reboot. I also have problems going to certain sites like avast.com, and other sites some that you guys have suggested to others. I am not familiar with hijack this and not certain I can download it. Adaware is not showing anything. Thanks for any advice

Try running Avast in Safe Mode.
Reboot into safe mode:Restart the computer:Immediately begin tapping the <F8> key.
Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the <Enter> key.
If that doesn't work try doing a BitDefender Online Scanner:BitDefender OnLine Scanner
For this to work you have to go to the site with IE.

Reflect, repent, and reboot.

Hi TMack I booted into safe mode ran adaware first and found nothing then ran avast. After 6 and a half hours I finally stopped the scan beause it seemed to be rescanning the same files over again. It found an infected file with win32 vb worm. I deleted this. Comp is slow to load internet pages and I still cant go to certain sites. The file was under a different name than to the previous ones I deleted. Im afraid its coming back each time under another name. Help?

Have you downloaded the BitDefender OnLine Scanner?
Another one you should try is AVG Anti-Spyware. There is a thirty day free trial period, and once that runs out you can still keep it,but must manually update it.Its a good product.

I still have access to those sites so thats cool. Should I rescan to see if the win32 is still gone or would bit defender have fixed the problem? If I should rescan which scan should I use? If its come back how do I get rid of it for good?

Make a habit of updating and running your scans at least twice a week, depending on how much you use your computer.
