...down load some of the fixe programs.

First of all, thank you for your assistance in helping resolve all these problems. I am not very computer savvy, but I hope to be able to follow your steps and suggestions.

I got as far as cleaning out my temporary internet files. I tried to download Ad-Aware Personal SE but it keeps redirecting me to a spydoctor page. I have tried to back arrow, but it sends me right back to the spydoctor page. I have been working on this for two days. I deleted my previous versions on Anti-Vir and Ad-Aware and bought Spysweeper and PC Cillin anti-virus today, hoping these would resolve the issues. What is it that I need to do in order to stop the redirect so that I can download Ad-Aware as well as the other items that you recommend? Thanks for all your help.

regards,

Do you have access to another computer? If so, download the programs and files on that computer to a thumb drive or CD and install them on your computer from the CD or thumbdrive. I do this all the time because I am on dial-up, and programs can take hours to download on it.

Orange,

Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded all the programs to a disk and I am uploading them to my computer as we speak. I will post all the info as I get it.

Thanks,
