Hi, I am game for this,
remember I am working blind so bare with me
- what model of computer
- what xp os
- what age

first we are going to get into safemode without keyboard or mouse

- turn on computer
- let it run for passed BIOS into the first windows screen(the black one)
- pull out the plug from the comp
- turn on the computer again
(it should boot into safemode and hopefully at that point you will have keyboard function again, enough to arrow down to 'last know good configuration' press enter)

probably won't work but I am hoping that it is somestart that is blocking things here.
everyday is a gift

This presumes that you can't get into Safe Mode using the keyboard. The procedure will cause a "problem" with Windows so that the next time you boot it'll offer you the option for Safe Mode.

Normally, you can press F8 to get into Safe Mode when booting Windows (you have to do it just after the BIOS and before Windows starts to load.
