Ive just reinstalled my xp pro but the security centre is not in the control panel anymore. Its only on sp1 for some reason so its updating and i think sp2 should be downloaded along with all the other updates. Will the security centre be in sp2 or do i have to download that from somewhere else? I have zone alarm firewall but not the windows one now.

The XP security centre is a feature installed with Service Pack 2.
You should find that once the SP2 update is done, the security centre will be there.
Have a read here --> SP2 Security Centre

You need SP2 and all the subsequent Windows Critical Updates.
