How To Boot From Xp Disk?

Im wanting to reinstall my windows xp but when i put the disk in it says the version on the computer is newer than the one on the disk. How do i boot it from the disk so that i can format and reinstall xp pro?

hi, Kev,

you'll have to change the boot sequence in the bios so that the computer will boot from the cd instead of the harddrive.

you'll normally see a press 'del' to enter bios, or someother key, maybe f1, f2. when you enter the bios look for something related to boot order, and make the first choice the cd-rom
