Folder's containing AVI movies are often slow to load with explorer.
The following regedit should correct this problem.
Go to Start » Run » type: regedit
- On the leftside, click to highlight My Computer at the top.
- Go up to File » Export
- Make sure in that window there is a tick next to "All" under Export Branch.
Leave the "Save As Type" as "Registration Files".
Under "Filename" put RegBackup.
- Choose to save it to C:\
- Click save and then go to File » Exit.
This is so the registry can be restored to this point if we need it. It may take a minute. Please open notepad and and copy and paste next bold in it:
(don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4)
Save this as "fix.reg" Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
It should look like this:
Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.
Reboot the PC and let me know if the folders open OK now.
