After wasting a whole Sunday morning trying all of the recommended methods, bitdefenders uninstall tool didn't work..  Not listed in remove programs, or any other uninstall app, no option or menu from windows bitdefender folder. Every other option that you try requires permission from administrator even though you are.... this method worked for me... download hirens boot cd (free).. boot from it and chose load mini xp or 7 in ram (takes awhile to load). then navigate to your operating systems program files folder where bitdefender is and delete bitdefender folder... GONE.....  may not be all gone but does not load or bug me anymore...

You may want to run AutoRuns and do a search for bitdefender. There may be a Service or startup item still running.
