Each time I boot up a small window with "Security" in the title bar pops up with the following:
"The security information is invalid or has been modified. The program will be terminated".
I click OK and the boot up continues. I believe, but I am not sure, this started after I downloaded and installed the latest Microsoft Windows and Office security updates this week.

Anyone know what program is causing this pop up? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If the problem is a result of Windows Critical Updates support is offered by Microsoft at no cost and your best option is to take advantage of it.

Go to Windows Update or Microsoft Update, whichever is your default, and click on "Get help and Support" on the left side of the page.
Alternately you can call them at the toll free phone number listed below:

Microsoft Security Product Support Policy

Technical support is available from Microsoft Product Support
Services at 1-866-PC SAFETY (1-866-727-2338).

There is no charge for support calls associated with security updates.

International customers can get support from their local Microsoft
subsidiaries. Phone numbers for international support can be found
at: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx

A couple of days ago I received an automatic Windows update. Since then the problem has disappeared. Thanks for your help.
