What OS (Win XP/2000, etc) are you using? What type of anti-virus are you using and when was the last time you ran a scan? Did you try running Sbybot in "SAFE MODE".

If your running Win XP/2000, do this:

Please download, install and update AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5. DO NOT perform a scan yet..
Print out the AVG Anti-Spyware Install-Scan Instructions.

Download iSearchFix.exe.
Double-click on it and allow install to its default location.

Reboot your computer in SAFE MODE" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup [but before the Windows icon appears] press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Then scan with AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 per the "Safe Mode" instructions you printed out.

Open the iSearchFix folder and double-click on isearch.bat to run the tool.
Allow it to finish and reboot normally.

Then perform this online Virus scan: Trend Micro Housecall <- Use "Autoclean" and manually delete what it can't clean.
