I have a wierd problem with my system. After start up, aprox 1 minute my task bar and start menu at the lower bottom of the screen goes from the normal XP look to what I would call a classic look. In the task manager I have a process that is running, using up my CPU usage, like a heart beat. I run Avast anti virus 4.7 pro and I use CC cleaner regularly.
Okay so this is what I have done thus far. Ran the Avast anti virus. It found several viruses and I quarentined them.
I have located via CC log a directory location that points to Dr Watson folder.
This is whats in it. only copied/pasted partial.
Application exception occurred:
App: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe (pid=1532)
When: 10/11/2006 @ 22:14:06.218
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)

I have done a google search to try to figure out why I have a process start/crash?? This is what I am assuming.
I do not know what to do from here except reformat.
Any ideas on what I should do.....
The one thing I know is something is on this CPU.
Thanks in advance....
